Cultural and Service Capital
At St Matthew’s Primary School, we fully understand the importance of cultural capital and how vital it is to provide all children with rich experiences and wide-ranging opportunities in order for them to make progress and succeed in our school, at secondary school and beyond. Sayers Croft Year 5 Residential
Sayers Croft Outdoor Learning Centre is a beautiful residential site at the foot of the Surrey Hills. It has 56 acres of woodlands, meadows, ponds and streams to explore, as well as a great range of adventure activities including wall climbing, caving and rope courses. The six cosy dormitories, each with their own common room, make the ideal base for classes to plan and relax at either end of a busy day.
The children learn so much - in the field - linked to geography, science, maths, physical education, citizenship and problem solving.
