St Matthew's Day

Key Stage 1 and 2 celebrated St Matthew's Patronal Festival at church today.  We sang one of our favourite hymns that links perfectly with our school vision "Shine Jesus Shine" and Year 4 led the prayers.

Dear Lord
Thank you for our school and our community.
As we celebrate St Matthew's Day, help us to share your love and kindness with our friends and families in our home, schools and community.
In your name, Amen

Dear Lord
Thank you for your love and kindness.
Thank you for forgiving us when we do wrong.
Help us when we are struggling with things that are stressful.
Help us to forgive others.
In your name,  Amen

Dear Lord
Thank you for our families and friends our homes and community.
Help us to continue to love, be thankful and forgive.
Help us to remember we always have somebody to talk to and to help us through the tough journey of life.
Help us to learn from the mistakes we make and to remember to forgive ourselves.
Let us make new friends and strengthen the bond with our current friends and our families.
